NO BULLSHIT: -Hello brother, what’s up with D.O.D?
D.O.D [ WES LEE]: -Very good we just recorded 6 new songs for the split with one man armagedon harsh act TAKASHI OHKAWA it is coming out on extreme terror productions

NB: -Pls. Tell the readers about a short biography of the band?
WES LEE: -We are a 2 man band formed on a school for audio visual. As a special lesson you get lessons on music school to form a band and play fucking cover songs of all kind of pop artist like Alanis morisset and shit like that. So to piss of all the hippies we formed D.O.D. to play the music that we like.

NB: -For the readers sake, what is D.O.D stands for?
WES LEE: -D.O.D. stands for Department of Defence for Disciples of Darkness and for total chaos.

NB: -How will you classify or describe your music? I cant really describe it because you are mixing a lot of genres.
WES LEE: -We describe our music as TERRORDOOMCORE. because we mix all kind of music like blackmetal power violence and grindcore and crust. our lyrics are about armagedon and when we play live most of the time people hate us so we terrorize them with our noise.

NB: -Do you played live being a two man band?
WES LEE: -Yes the drummer and guitar player both sing and We got the guitar tuned in drop G and plug it into a bass and guitar amp.

NB: -How about in recording your music? Do you hire a sessionist? Or you just record it the two of you?
WES LEE: -We do all kind of shit when we record. Some times the song ask for a fucked up sound and than we record it on tape and sometimes we ask a friend to come over with analog recording gear and sometimes we use a computer to record or mix.

NB: -How’s your country by the way? Could you pls. Tell us a short scene report in your country or in your town?
WES LEE: -My town Hellevoetsluis got a really cool scene with all kind of music Doom hardcore crust stonerrock metal. Some cool Hellevoetsluis bands are Heavy Lord, Tremoria, Koegra, Low point drains, Space bar, Floodstain, Super evil elvis, Reetveters, Ephedra, Black Horizon. We all jam together and all played with each other in a band. And got some WO2 bunkers where there are gigs and where you can rehearse. The scene in Netherlands is very big and good.

NB: -About your song “ never trust a punk” what’s the lyrics is all about? Are you dissing punk? Or do you hate punk?
WES LEE: -No the lyrics are about a group of friends who called their self punks ( it was not a group that listen to punkrock music) and always they say that if one guy was beaten the whole group would stand behind them but when the moment was there there was no one to help.

NB: -And what about the song “blink 1,2,3,4”? I am just curious because there is no inlay lyrics on the tape.
WES LEE: -That song is about a friend I know who wants to be famous and he played in a nu metal band and he really plays music for the fame He was also on MTV for 15 minutes but after his fame his band broke up and now he is a fucking crackjunky. This song is also about all girl bands who cant play music but are famous because of the look good.

NB: -Who are the bands from Holland that influenced you that much?
WES LEE: -Das Oath, Peter pan speedrock, Cockroach, Seeing red, Low point drains.

NB: -We talk before, you said you are involve in writing a zine? What’s the name of the zine? And what can you say about the zine scene in your country?

WES LEE: -I dont write the zine Marit Chaotic writes the zine and she is a former punk singer in the band Artikel 2 Sometimes I come up with some interviews and reviews of records.

NB: -How about your government? Is there any corrupt officials, and a rotten system that you hate? Are you aware of socio political sitution?
WES LEE: -Yes, Netherlands is a very rich country to live but I hate the people in Holland they suck on every thing. sinds we are a part of the EU everything get very expensive. There is also a lot of corruption in the EU. We never had the chance to vote for the EU so I really don’t like it. And we got a fucking president who is sucking the dick of Bush. Netherlands is like Orwell nation already camera's police and registration points every where I really hate it, it feels like I live in a prison. And the biggest joke of all is most of the people don’t have an idea what is going on. Also the media are making Muslim people look very bad and Most of the Netherlands people hate Islam but they don’t even know what its all about. Netherlands also change after 9-11.

NB: -Your band name sounds really dark, do you really hail Satan? What if Satan will tell you to suck his dick? Will you suck it? hehehe WES LEE: -No fuck Satan your mother sucks cock in HELL.

NB: -For you, who is the most powerful? God, Satan or Money? Why?
WES LEE: -I am the most powerful I am my own GOD. Every body is his own GOD. Do what you will is the law.
