Interview with Ron Sacueza of Noisecore Zine/Red Corpse/Kontra Klasse

 RON SACUEZA

Interviewed by: Corix

a.k.a Red Mellitus, the man behind the band RedKorpse / Kontra Klasse and Noisecore Zine

[Asalaam walaykum] What’s up bro? How’s life in the desert hell Saudi Arabia?
Salaam Sadike! There's nothing to say up around the hell of a kind land of the so called false humanity, people of the ruling dynasty believed it's a land of humanity, which I presume not due to the human system and the catastrophic scale of beliefs and rules that affects much the intellectual individual rights and freedom of the mass especially the foreign visitors and expatriates. The thing is that those worst things are much being done as the results of repressive and oppressive laws. The more the people are being controlled by such frightening laws, the more disrespect towards destructions to mankind. I'm not totally against the rule of their beliefs but only with its people and its ruling class traditions making much worst of it by doing such disrespects of the true freedom of humanity. I do respect what ever beliefs the people has because I have my own belief, which could only understand by my own intellectual self and understandings "My Freedom" a feelings of morality and wilderness. My life's here in the land expresses much Derision and Defiance. A hardship for the fact that I'm fuckin' miles away with my loving family, I love our own native land even we knew it's a sacrificing Third world land rather than to such a first world without freedom. We do have to accept the flows of sacrifices for us to live and let live!

Before anything else, pls. introduce a little something about yourself?
Still the same creature from the past who have just invaded from the land of abused to the dynasty ruling nation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Here I am invading for the cause of finding a better new life and make envisions to progress. Actually there's nothing important about me to talk about but simply boredoms, I'm fuckin' fuck –up, if not only for my family I will not be here sacrificing for life. Anyway I’ll just state my own beliefs or ideology being known as Red Mellitus. I'd always have respect and belief in revolutions. Human, Animal Rights and my being environmental concerns will stay in vein as my life comes from the emptiness to powerful creative mind. I'm fuckin' tired of the worst system flow of humanity because of negative beliefs and the “surah surah” ways of our fuckin' dumb Boss, and so what makes me here is simply go with the flow or I mean go with their non-sense Ideology to settle something simple but worthy "Mahirap ipako sa hirap ang sarili sa hindi naman ikaliligaya sa huli" so better to be easy and cool, as a wise man beliefs. We all knew that this land will never progress without the contributions of other foreign nations such as the expatriates. I'm working here as Architectural and Interior Designer under Project and Design Department in a stable ceramics corporation for almost two years in sacrifice, until now I feel no satisfactions in life. No matter what still my heart and supports in the Sub-Culture scene will never ends…

Your band Red Corpse existed in the scene since the 80’s, is the band still up and kicking? And how about your other band called the Kontra Klasse, what’s going on with that band since you are now in KSA?
Allow me to correct you about the existence of Red Corpse. It wasn't Red Corpse who started in the Early 80's but the scene of Tarlac Underground itself who have marked a peaceful march in the City to spread and correct the public especially the primordial scene from false beliefs and ideology against the existence of the cause-oriented music, the band was born in the late 90's summer of May 1993, the band exists from deferent bands known as The Dead Saints (1987), Anesthesia (1989) to Living Dust (1991) then finally became Red Corpse, it was formed being a more independent underground supportive band in the East Central Tarlac scene playing melodic Hardcore and the main idea is because of the stupid socio-political status quo and political idiosyncrasy within the Philippines Third World land. Red Corpse still exist even the original members now into different stage of life, I mean working for our individual life and family as what I'm doing here in this land called hell. Our original vocalist is the one who keeps on organizing the band to play in some gigs outside and within the scene. Most of the members who play for Red Corpse are members from Suicide Not Death, ASP-Alingawngaw Sa Pozonegro (Echoing the Septic vault), Kontra Klasse and others of the same roots or genre. I thank all the individuals for their support and Wally (The Vox) for being true and undying support in the scene.

Kontra Klasse (2001-2004), it's not actually my other band; it's my new but defunct band. When I formed Kontra Klasse I no longer play with Red Corpse, I let Wally to find his new members, and besides I don't have any idea that Red Corpse will still exists after we called it quit. I concentrate instead to only one band due to the lack of time and efforts to share and play because of my job. By the way just to give you information, Kontra Klasse plays different from Red Corpse although both have the same political point of views but different in the ways of act or manner of throwing intense dislikes. Kontra klasse is more on a so called crusty raw political anarcho-peace punk influenced. The band has been defunct not from the reason of my kingdom invasion, individual members has a reasons, I went here to work for my family and future stability. The members I think had played once when I was already out of the country. Anyway they still very much supportive in the sub-culture scene of the East Central Tarlac Active resistance and other local scenes even today.

Red Corpse Studio recorded Demo
2006 – I don't have info if they have already release the material. My friend Ka Wally planted the project; I don't have much idea if it grows in the present civilizations. I was just informed that their materials are mostly original old songs, which includes my first composed crap "Kwento sa Isang Gago" plus I think two other new materials written by Ka Wally. All his Members during the recording were from the band Suicide not Death, ASP and Kontra Klasse members. You can contact Wally in the Philippines for more info with the band Red Corpse here: (+63) 9274176143 for more info with Red Corpse.

Discography for Kontra Klasse:
Results of Terror – Rehearsal Demo release on Cassette and CD - 2003
The band failed for the plan to release with their full length 8-tracks demo under Middle Finger Production; instead we released the materials on my independent label redcore distro on CD format. It was then distributed and traded locally and in some international and local individuals.

How’s the underground scene back then? Could you tell us some short memories of the old days? What can you say about the hardcore/punk scene today? Do you think they are really focusing in the underground thing and counter culture?
Way back late 90’s during my time of being in the scene and the most active days of the scene, I consider it typically in the voice of massive destructions due to some regular activities and projects, which are being organize by list active productions from the west side and the Central side of Tarlac underground scene known as BUMP (Brave United Musicians for Peace) from the western side and the counter part is Wasteland Fights Now and my own production Premature At-most-fear on the Central part of the City. Bands in the past are truly aggressive and same with the kids who attend the gigs. I remembered the time when I was still with the primordial bands until we finally formed Red Corpse, I almost gave much time to play music the reason why I spent much time in college, and I’ve experienced being a school dropped out but not a failure damn shit creature. When I notice that I really need to finish that was the time I decided to transfer towards or to be into non-existence, but still music never stops flowing in my veins.

Today, the Hardcore/Punk scene is getting much sensitive, I mean the kids are more talented in terms of playing music, but the attitude still the same because everything exists and individuals within each scene has learned from the past mistakes. The scene and youth of today is more peaceful and more into cause-oriented compare from the past, which is aggressive and has a lot of riot freaks. The scene of today has developed a more powerful point of views. Yes we can’t avoid that there are still some who messed up the scene but never mind those senseless individuals but only the fruitful and cause-oriented Ideologies and beliefs.

You end up the existence of your zine called “Noisecore”, what's the real reason of ending up the existing of it? Does it mean that you also end up supporting the underground scene?
I can say no reason for ending up my zine noisecore, I just feel to end it as simple as that. Now that I’m concentrating for my family and life to progress the urges of doing something for the scene has faded but the spirit never dies and still remains flowing in vein. I still listen and communicate with the scene, creating simple words like poems, articles and others to share or making comments on political, human and animal rights and environmental respects. My support will only end when I took rest in peace or buried six feet underground.

Anyway, since your band and zine focuses on the political issues, what can you say about our country’s system? And what made you to decide to work here in Saudi Arabia?
So you had a copy of my zine, thank you for the support you have given. My zine noisecore has not just focused on political but also on rights of human, animals and environmental respects and even religions and other related topics. In politics, I can say that politics is just a mess of shit to the people. No leader who could bring better, I’m saying this because I never seen any leaders from the past up to now who did something better. The country Philippines our native land is becoming much poorer because of massive increase of basic needs or commodities, while salary remains the same and sometimes has deductions on taxes, people are so tired and others has gone being jobless. Others like you and I presently trying and sacrificing much being expatriates for a better future life to progress, exist or to have a well established lifestyle for our family or families they wanted to care with.
The Philippine Political system sucks as long as those greed and self centered individuals who gives much lies and said to be they’re giving service to the people for the people still persists, the people will then keep asking a question “Philippines where do we go from here” and this will only end when time comes to be free from an initial word C.O.V.E.R. (Corruption, Oppression, Violation, Exploitation and Repression) or if a new law promulgation of strict policy but less in political system to be ruled by the majority people with an ideal human behavior or the mass of truth rather than by a cabinet formed from parties of different beliefs and ideology, which commonly caused conflicts and affects the growth and progress of the country. And then we will be free again! I never planed to work outside the country but because of the system and life struggles that we Filipinos experienced we decide to grab an opportunity, which we may think will make our life changed from being less fortunate to a well established future living. Working outside our own native land has a lot of sacrifices but we have to accept the truth for us to reach our individual goals in life. Simply keep your faith, trust and belief of the existence

What can you say about our current president “Gloria Macafuckgal Arroyo?” Do you believe in the concept of voting? Will you vote this coming election? Why? Pls explain.
I will define GMA as a leader being the Great Mammal of Assholes in our sacrificing third world land Philippines. As recorded from the beginning of her non-excellence term of so many destructions happened. Her political strategy is well organized but it is always being observed by the mass of left hand solutions. I think the President is a silent corrupt leader; a moderator of laws who will bring much damage to our native land is not being put down from her seat. Actually there’s no leader in the Philippines who did worth for living but a damn nation in the end of each terms. So when practicing your rights as citizen to vote, one should be wise in decision makings. Voting is similar to a game of death for the people of the state. It is also a formal practice of making lies that may create total destructions. I will vote not because of my rights but trying to select a good and progressive leader but in all those expectations in the end they fuckin’ messed up.

How about communism and anarchism? Which concept are those two that I have mentioned that you believe in? And pls explain.
Both system of government has each differences, both has a freedom but still can destroys depending on how the people of the state will cooperate to each and individual. For me there is no rule that may come to perfection unless the people would know the proper ways to govern or the way to practice the true meaning of freedom. As long as there’s no Peace, Trust, Love, Respect and Equality there will be no chances to build an Ideal nation.

Refreshing my memory, I guess, I remember., I have read in your farewell issue in your last zine about the article “Christianity and Anarchism”, I am not really sure though! ‘Cuz I don't have a copy of that issue right now and that was long time ago. But for you, does Christianity have a place in Anarchism?
The belief in the system is totally abolition to have freedom, so therefore there shall be no place for any religions and even government but only a rule for the people, as I have mentioned above that there shall no Idealism unless the people would not be aware or understand the proper ways and practices of the real meaning of being a free society towards better living.

By the way, do you have any ideology?
Speaking of Ideology, those people who observed and think for changes or resolution towards ideal humanitarian system has a deep Idealism and beliefs. Word is not enough to be heard, the importance of idealism is that it must be worth for the fact that there's nothing would come to create a fruitful ideas. It will only happen if such words of idealism be supported by the majority public, that will be the time for a bombing such changes to accept reality, but I’m not that powerful enough as what I think off as those who seats on the throne having its individual agenda just to become much more powerful but in a worst way of shit hole platform mindless ideas as they're doing. The reason why poverty persists in our own native third world land and other affected nations in the world.

I would like to remain a word of Ideology that it is much better to practice what is being preached rather that to remain as a written knowledge on a piece of crap. In my case it is really hard for me to preach since I'm not that good or shall say eligible enough. For me the words that I have shared and written is important when it is being well distributed not just within the scene to the public as well for them to accept the reality or understand the truth of what is really happening in the world.

Anyway, I would like to bring back the old issues about “copyright and anti-copyright” just wanna know where you stand about it and why?
I have been into the D.i.Y. practice that sharing your own ideas and beliefs is worth more than selling. How could we deliver a massive word of making peace, love, respect and equality for change or how could we even deliver our hatred to those inhuman beings and how could we totally fight for our rights if we make copyrighted to our works. The people wouldn’t know the truth, so fuck copyright and profit. You can do what you want but never mess with the crap. Simply give respect!

Since you are now working in a religious country, I would like to know about your views about religion.
I have a big disagreement that this nation is kinda religious. Ok I may say that a lot of them go to extol for their faith to the existence of their creator, to obey such rule from a written document created by man. But the question is do they practice what they believed and preached to their people. For me religion is depending on how you practice your beliefs and how respect to others. We all knew that no matter what kind of religion you have still there are those immoralities, even Christians and so on; The Ideal belief I think is beyond the extent of understanding human respect or virtuousness. It is truly hard to be ideal! I'm still a sinner because of the stupid flows of influential factors in life. And so I have my own beliefs and lifestyles, which is hard for me to explain and most of the people will even disagree because only me alone who knows the true meaning of reality and existence, I'm trying to have respect with those in need to be respected. If you know how to respect especially with your own self it is then easy to give and share to others. Make love and Peace to everyone on our sacrificing land on Earth! Do you feel to react in making ideal love?

Do you believe in the higher power? (like God?) How about the concept of heaven and hell?
I do believe in the spiritual existence but not in the extra ordinary or what you called it as higher power, I simply give my respect for all the things done. When we say respect that means we should know the right things over the worst practices of every human, obey and understand virtuous or moral principles. Just the basic truth and morality is enough! Because it is very complicated when we try to review the past and the present deliberations from any books concerning different religions or beliefs that made everyone divided as one. Power is not the answer but understanding your own moral beliefs. Why don't just let the People find the light instead of making such influences or constant fearing of beliefs and the so called higher power.

I don’t believe in the conceptual meaning of Heaven and Hell. For me it's simply what we feel and not even a place for our destiny after life on earth. Heaven and Hell is the positive high morality and the negative worst of immorality. The good is heaven and the bad is hell, No doors to be opened for us because it is simply here on our self as the individual attitudes of mankind. Heaven and hell is like a racial differences!!! So can I ask you Corix and Fonda a simple question; where do you think is your destiny after death?
[Corix: Rotten at the soil, eaten by maggots..hahaha!]

Well, enough about that! Please tell us about Saudi Arabia. Tell us some of your experiences here. Do you believe that sexism and racism exist here? Have you witness the beheading that was done in public? What can you say about this place? Their system, etc.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of those Islamic countries known as the land of humanity. It is the land of the rich common blood. Govern by a political dynasty or a successive power of prominent people from the same blood. Saudi is a strict and fearful nation because of controlled power of the state, it is a land where its inhabitant gone to worthless attitudes because of false beliefs that affects much human beings, it is being known as a very religious country due to that they believed that this nation is sacred by means of all the Prophets came here. People of this country pray too much but still most of them have an attitude of such unacceptable. Racist and Discriminations are common. The femmes are being treated inequality and maltreated in most primitive or uneducated race (known as Bado). Incest is still being practice. I find out that the domestic housekeeping or in-house employees sometimes into fuckin’ indecent hell of shit, too much fuckin’ perversions in this hell that rapes innocent workers, even the femmes of the same race. In those educated lifestyles the very few do have respect women or their wives but other race still being into maltreatments. Here in the kingdom the exposures of seductive parts and even hairs in public places are even unwanted, the reason why femmes totally covered their bodies with a dress called burkha (a long, loose garment covering the whole body, worn in public by some Muslim women.). Femmes are not even allowed to drive cars unlike in open countries. Here in Saudi Arabia has a mixed of races in terms of working class, most of the expatriates are foreigners working for them to progress. Filipinos has a large community but India, Pakistan, Bangladesh I think has the largest lower class workers. American and European also exist on a high level of working class. A lot of other Asian inhabitants here but the most in favor are those in same religion being Muslims. Racism and Sexism here do persist especially between Christians and Muslims. There’s a common practice of discriminations and antagonism that makes people into group of race that sometimes brings conflicts. In the near future I think the kingdom will come to an open country but in a series manner of acceptance. Because I’m observing the present has a bit of changes. They have to be well oriented to accept such open culture. As of today there are some Femmes who have no covered on their head known as Niqab. In the past we do take public pictures as we hide against any police patrol because it's illegal, but now it's almost accepted, don't just take pictures on any government or palaces buildings and the most and still strictly prohibited is to take picture on their femmes.

The beheading truly sucks! It's kinda inhuman system. They do cut-off the head as a form of execution to those who have committed crime). It is common to make punishable execution to those criminals but beheading or the cutting of any parts of the body is inhuman. Here even there is a very strict and fearful rules still there are existence of crimes like Rapes, Murders, Slavery, Thieves and many more. I haven’t been on the beheading site; I'm planning to visit the hell of a site to share to you people as soon as I witness any executions. I have here a file to share with you please try to down load or attach on your web format. (see attachment)

Since there’s no UG scene here in Riyadh, KSA, what are those recent stuffs that you enjoy doing? What are those stuffs you enjoy listening to nowadays?
When inspired and solitude I simply write poems and commenting on some articles that I’m reading or sometime to those I received from any forwarded e-mail craps just to make me out of boredoms. Being away from our native land is lonesome. I think there is a scene here because you Corix together with Fonda and I are here! Let's just simply call it a silent scene. I listened to some stuff I brought from my vacation; it's kinda very few but worth to listen to bring back my lifestyle, but most of the time after my work I'd listen to instrumental music like Yanni and other environmental sounds as my relaxation, of course during office hours I'd play the hardest crap I have to work and think fast. I do listen to reggae My life here has no fuckin' colors as what I have before. I'm expecting before I went here that this nation has a lot of fruits of worth but rather a seeds of damn nation that made me feel being suffocated. I want to scream and back to my native land but what can I do, life in our own land will bring much sacrifice because of unemployment. Yes we're here in a less freedom land but we have hopes to progress our future life.

Well bro, thanx for sharing your thoughts and views! Last messages?
I just shared what I could from the extent of my knowledge, beliefs and ideology, I also tried to share information but some of those shits have no fuckin' proof and yet it truly happened. I thank you for the interest of making me as part of your independent cause-oriented project. I really appreciated your idea for even I'm not that active in the sub-culture scene still you have decided to make this interview.
